Verendrye Electric Cooperative is continuing its Power of Youth grant program.

The Power of Youth program is a way to honor youth groups in the communities we serve. Verendrye will award a grant, maximum of $2,000, to a youth group that has made a positive impact in a community.
Applicants are required to demonstrate how youth are directly involved in a project to be eligible.
It can be something new or part of an existent project. Only non-profit organizations or school groups are allowed to enter. The application must be completed by a student in grades 7-12 whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) is a Verendrye member.
Entries will be judged and more than one group may be awarded. The grant will be awarded to the group or organization and must be used towards their community project. The group must involve at least three youth.
Past project awarded money include a program ran by students to address mental health, a caring closet to stock hygiene products for kids and a project where students made improvements at a local park.
