Lineman Appreciation Day
#ThankALineworker on April 9, 2018
Lineworkers serve on the frontlines of our nation’s energy needs, and on April 9, 2018, Verendrye Electric Cooperative thanks the men and women who work in challenging and often dangerous conditions to keep the lights on.
We are proud to recognize all electric lineworkers for the services they perform around the clock in difficult conditions to keep power flowing and protect the public’s safety.
"We can all appreciate and thank our linemen they work to keep the lights on every day," said Manager Randy Hauck. "Sometimes their work means getting called in the middle of the night in a blizzard to help get our power back on. They are the first responders of the cooperative."
Verendrye Electric Cooperative is proud to honor the 29 lineworkers that maintain 4,800 miles of power lines in our service territory.
We invite all co-op members to take a moment and thank a lineworker for the work they do. On April 9, use #ThankALineworker on social media to show your support for the men and women who light our lives. You can also send letters to our office thanking a lineman or telling a story of how they helped you.
